Wave Pool

Fun Times!!!!

Te Rauparaha Arena Pools

We finished our day with a swim at the local pools here in Porirua.

Uptown Bounce

This afternoon we headed to the new Uptown Bounce venue in Lyall Bay. The energy that these kids have never ceases to amaze us. They loved every minute of the experience.
Lily and Matthew bounce off the platform  and onto the tramps.
In the background you can make out the Olympic trampoline that was lots bouncier and thoroughly enjoyed by your energetic children.

Pukeahu Memorial Park and The Great War Exhibition

Today, Wellington turned on weather that even the ducks would have had to hide from.
The guided tour through the Great War exhibition was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The teachers showing the groups around were hugely impressed by the knowledge our students had on the First World War.
Meeting our teacher Andy, in the foyer before entering the exhibition.

After our time at the exhibition, we went to the Carillon, and held a wreathe laying ceremony. For the first service Lochy read the Ode and Liva & Faustina placed the wreath.
At the service for the second group, Taila took up the challenge and read the Ode in Te Reo.  Both groups then sang Mo Maria.

Dance Fun!

At the end of the conference today, we had a dance with the leaders.  It was lots of fun!

Ten Pin Bowling

Tonight we headed to North City Ten Pin on Kenepuru Drive, Porirua.
We played two games in our family groups and the competition was fierce!
While the weather was wet and windy outside, we were warm and dry and a fantastic time was had by all, including our awesome camp parents who deserved a change from slaving in the kitchen making us yummy food!

GRIP Leadership Conference

Today, was the GRIP Leadership Conference, that was held at the Pipitea Marae and Function Centre in Thorndon. (Just outside CBD).
Students got to experience some great activities that challenged them to think about themselves as potential leaders, now and in the future.   The GRIP team, from Australia deliver a very polished programme that involves all students present.

Once inside the fun began!
