Holt Planetarium

Today, we visited the Holt Planetarium as part of our term's science focus.

After our lessons at the planetarium, we spent time having lunch and fun in the playground before heading to the National Aquarium of New Zealand.

Watching the little penguin being fed was fun. They're obviously very happy and well looked after in their home at the aquarium.

Aquarium Visit

As part of our Science focus, we visited the National Aquarium in Napier. The time was divided into a lesson where we learnt how to categorise different species, a guided tour around the aquarium, and time to watch feeding time for the penguins and fish in the main tank. Trials for the Inter-school Swimming Sports

This week, we have had the opportunity to show our aquatic skills. 

Selections have been made for students who will represent St Mary's in the Inter-school Swimming Sports that are going to be held next Tuesday.

Domino Activities

Recently in Maths, we have been having fun working with domino activities. 

The different games challenge us to use our Number Knowledge.

Waimarama Beach Ed Day

On Friday, the seniors travelled to Waimarama for Beach Education. The Life Guards taught us some really important skills that we'll use whenever we go to the beach.
