On the steps at Parliament

Before going on our tour around Parliament, we took time for this group photo.
We met with Craig Foss, the MP for Tukituki electorate and as part of the tour, spent some time in the Gallery watching Question time.

  1. Going to parliament is my favourite thing we have done so far. We saw Andrew Little through the front door when he was getting interviewed! Then an educator took us into a room and told us how parliament worked, what they usually discussed and what roles people have. We then watched parliament live from the gallery viewing platform which was cool. John Key wasn't there though while I was in there. Craig Foss talked to us afterwards which was also cool. It was an awesome experience.

  2. Yesterday we were lucky enough to be able to look around Parliament and to experience what it was like in the debating chamber. Out of the intermediate very few of the students had actually been to parliament before, so for most this was a very exciting visit. We were then talked to by Craig Foss who talked to us a little about Parliament and what his job in Parliament involved.
